How Does a Hurricane Form? / 2024
Medium: Digital | Booklet Design
Introduction
This project explores the literal, metaphorical, and abstract representations of the process described in "How Does a Hurricane Form." It delves into the dynamic movement and chaotic energy of the hurricane, such as "rapid rotation, whirlwind, radial spreading of the wind." It also highlights the juxtaposition of its calm center and violent motion around it, such as "a ring of dense vapors gyrating madly around the calm center." The components of a hurricane reflect this juxtaposition, focusing on the "eye" in the center and the "spiral" surrounding it. Additionally, it reflects on the aftermath, portraying the human experience and emotional resonance of hurricanes through themes of devastation, turbulence, and madness. This multifaceted approach creates a compelling visual and conceptual narrative of one of nature’s most powerful forces.
